I wish that pandemic flu would take a cue from the hurricane people and give proper names to the enemy. Its lazy to point to an animal and use derogatory names that are species specific to scare the world with. No, the meteorologists have it right. Use proper names like, Seth or Gustav. This way we can laugh through the world's pain.
News reports will sound like this: "Seth has infected thousands in Canada" or "Seth causes nausea and chills." This will make all people not named Seth smile at the television set. Something that generally never happens on cable channels.
Yes, it will cause the Seths and Gustavs a tad bit of paranoia. But as long as that paranoia is not followed by a high grade fever, they will get over it.
